Air hammers
- Proved over 40 years of world-wide operation
- High impact resistant speroidal graphite iron rams as standard
- Steel anvils
- Pneumatic grip and Vernier pin insert adjustment
- Precision reciprocal air valves
BSP double-acting air hammers are normally used in non-cohesive soils and provide a rapid succession of blows in order to install the pile efficiently. Models in the ‘N’ series drive medium weight sheet steel, tubular, H-beam or timber piles. Concrete piles can also be driven where the soil is soft and the pile is light.
The Mk II series of N hammers has been in continuous production for over 20 years and is used all over the world.
The 600N has a ram weight of 227kg, generates a maximum energy per blow of 415Kg.m and can achieve a maximum of 250 blows per minute. The 700N has a ram weight of 385Kg, generates a maximum energy per blow of 650Kg.m and achieves a maximum of 225 blows per minute.
