Viaduct Project in Croatia

Operated on a Casagrande B250 rig, the BSP-TEX CX85 hydraulic piling hammer has been instrumental in driving heavy-duty I-beams to support a new viaduct near Novigrad, Croatia, for GeoInvest, a prominent construction firm in the region.

BSP-TEX, with 120 years of engineering expertise, designs and manufactures world-class piling equipment, including hydraulic hammers and rapid impact compactors. The CX85, known for its versatility and power, can drive steel and concrete piles up to a load-bearing capacity of 6500 kN. Its advanced features, such as adjustable stroke and blow rate, make it a top choice for demanding foundation projects worldwide.

The Casagrande B250 rig, supplied by the Italian-based Casagrande Group, is a multifunctional hydraulic piling rig renowned for its reliability in rotary and CFA piling. With a robust hydraulic system and modern PLC controls, it provides the perfect platform for operating the CX85, ensuring precision and efficiency on-site.

GeoInvest, a Croatian construction company specialising in geotechnical solutions, spearheaded this viaduct project to enhance regional connectivity near Novigrad. The viaduct, a critical infrastructure development, required deep foundation work to support its heavy structure, making the BSP-TEX CX85 and Casagrande B250 an ideal pairing.

Earlier this year, the CX85 hammer successfully drove the I-beams into the ground, securing the viaduct’s foundation. This collaboration highlights BSP-TEX’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge equipment for impactful projects.

“We’re thrilled to see the CX85 perform so well in Croatia. It’s a testament to our equipment’s durability and GeoInvest’s trust in our technology.”

This project underscores the synergy between BSP-TEX, Casagrande, and GeoInvest, paving the way for future infrastructure advancements.
