By integrating RM TRAILERS’ renowned expertise directly into our operations, we have substantially increased our production capacity and engineering capabilities, enabling us to handle larger volumes and more complex projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
RM TRAILERS, a trusted name in bespoke military trailer design and manufacturing for over 60 years, has long supplied specialist solutions to the armed forces and defence agencies. As part of the TEX GROUP, RM TRAILERS benefits from our collective 100 years of engineering excellence, focused on innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement. The relocation to Great Blakenham allows us to leverage our heavy engineering infrastructure, expanding from typical under-5-tonne trailers to heavy-duty applications up to 60 tonnes. This synergy not only boosts our output for batch and mass production but also ensures seamless compliance with UK and EU regulations, including Cyber Essentials Plus certification and Ministry of Defence contract standards.
Our trailers are engineered for reliability in demanding defence environments, drawing on proven designs that prioritise operational readiness, maintainability, and integrated logistic support (ILS). We specialize in a wide array of military trailers, including small boat launching trailers, boat transport trailers, armoured vehicle transport trailers, recovery trailers, general purpose military trailers, bespoke MOD trailers, offshore raiding craft trailers, aircraft support system trailers, and satellite equipment trailers. To attract new prospects, we are well-equipped to produce additional types such as Medium Equipment Transport Systems (METs), trailers for armoured tracked and wheeled vehicles, engineering vehicle trailers, and container chassis – all customised to meet stringent defence requirements.
Our track record speaks volumes. For instance, in one case study, we delivered Airbase Equipment Container Trailers designed for secure transport of sensitive military equipment, featuring robust construction and easy manoeuvrability. Another contract involved Aircraft Support System Trailers, engineered for precise handling of aviation equipment with enhanced stability features. The RAF Ground Loading Trailers exemplify our ability to create versatile platforms for rapid deployment, while the Satellite Support Trailers and Test Bed Trailers demonstrate our prowess in specialised, high-tech applications.

Our metal fabrications include precision sheet metal components with full material traceability and exceptional quality control. We produce stainless steel enclosures, such as IP-rated electronics casings and cabinets in aluminium, steel, and stainless steel, ideal for protecting sensitive systems. For light and heavy equipment up to 60 tonnes, we manufacture items like ground compaction equipment, ensuring durability in rugged conditions.
