JX Rig
The JX Piling Rig is mobile, self-erecting and radiocontrolled. The rig is mounted on a JCB base unit, uses a 12.5m single piling mast, and any one of the three BSP-TEX hydraulically accelerated piling hammers from the DX range. The JX Piling Rig is capable of driving steel, wood or concrete piles up to 8m in length.
The JX25-8 remains the UK’s No.1 choice for construction site piling projects. Its unique lightweight class – with an operating weight of just 28.6 tonnes – allows for low ground pressure (82kN/m²) and easy transport on a single low-loader without removing the hammer.

Requiring just 150 litres per minute of oil flow at 150-170 bar, the high-performance hammer can deliver up to 30kNm of energy at 60bpm. This performance exceeds
the requirement on most projects for concrete driven piles, resulting in the machine working at approximately 50% power. Fuel consumption of the JX Piling Rig is an
economical 10 litres per hour.
The combined weight of the rig is 28.6t and this light weight, combined with a wide and long undercarriage, reduces the ground pressure imposed by the machine to just 82kN/m2 without a pile.
The JX Piling Rig is self-erecting and mobilised in minutes from arrival on site. The double acting cylinder produces a fast blow rate.
The double acting cylinder produces high impact energy. With a dropweight of max. 2500 kg and a hammer energy of max. 30 kN.m, the JX can drive piles with ultimate load bearing capacity up to 2500kN.
The JX benefits from a wide range of DX accessories, and is capable of driving steel, wood or concrete piles up to 8m in length.
The JX rig and hammer is controlled from the cab or radio-controlled (optional extra). The DX hammers allow precise matching of energy to suit the pile driving requirements.
JX Pro Mk.3 Control System
The Mk.3 update introduces a completely redesigned interface. With a focus on improved UI/UX, the generous 10-inch touch screen delivers high-contrast, intuitive graphics that are readable in even the harshest sunlight.
This upgrade is centred on simplifying the complex. The streamlined layout makes it easier to train new operators and empowers veterans to achieve even more consistent results. By matching energy output perfectly to soil conditions, the system ensures exceptional piling accuracy. Furthermore, integrated live remote monitoring and advanced data logging allow you to track every blow. Capture hammer performance and penetration rates instantly, then output PDF reports for seamless quality control and project documentation.
- Streamlined Setup and Transport: The Mk.3 system simplifies the rig’s self-erecting and folding sequences. By automating key synchronisation steps through the new interface, transitioning from transport mode to fully operational is quicker, easier, and safer, significantly reducing the time spent on-site during mobilisation and demobilisation.
- Precision Piling Accuracy: The enhanced UI provides real-time digital readouts of hammer performance, including stroke and energy levels, allowing operators to match impact energy perfectly to soil conditions and pile requirements.
- Live Remote Monitoring & Support: Site supervisors and fleet managers can view a live mirror of the piling interface from any remote location, providing real-time oversight of hammer performance, blow counts, and pile penetration. For ultimate technical support, the system allows remote access to the I/O (Input/Output) diagnostics screen, enabling engineers to monitor hardware health and perform live troubleshooting without stepping foot on site.
- Advanced Data Logging & Reporting: Capture every blow with the integrated pile monitor. This system records hammer performance and pile penetration rates, allowing for instant data transfer via the modem/antenna/network or removable USB, for comprehensive quality control and documentary records. Back at the office, the dedicated desktop app generates comprehensive, graph-integrated reports in a professional layout. These "submission-ready" PDF records provide a visual and tabular history of every pile, ensuring your quality assurance documentation meets the most stringent regulatory and engineering standards.
- Ruggedised Operator Comfort: Inside the cab, the JX Pro Mk.3 pedestal mount features a dual ball-joint system for full multi-axial adjustment. This allows the operator to instantly eliminate glare and secure the perfect ergonomic viewing angle, regardless of seat position.
- Comprehensive Safety Suite: The system features integrated safety interlocks, emergency stop functionality, and signal interference protection. Digital “red light” alerts instantly notify the operator of any mechanical or hydraulic abnormalities, reducing the probability of equipment damage.
The Power of the JCB 220X
Built on the world-class JCB 220X-LC base, the JX25-8 offers a cab environment that is second to none. The CommandPlus cab provides best-in-class comfort with reduced noise levels (67dB) and double-cushion viscous mounts to dampen vibration.
